SUCCESS HILL RESERVE

Public BBQ

Success Hill Reserve lives up to its name with sweeping river views from an elevated vantage point that's become a local favourite for picnics and fishing. Two BBQs anchor a well-maintained park area complete with a playground and daily-serviced toilets, though visitors should prepare for the challenge ahead: steep stairs descend to a floating jetty below, offering river access that fishing enthusiasts appreciate despite the rather unpleasant duck droppings that accumulate. The climb back up proves exhausting for those unprepared. Riverside walking trails wind through bushland, while a "lover seat" lookout provides the perfect spot to watch the water below. The location balances accessibility with natural beauty, though water access remains distinctly vertical rather than casual. Recent jetty repairs suggest ongoing maintenance attention to this riverside gem.
